This satin black Kinshasa 5 arm ceiling light will compliment any interior setting. The fitting was designed around the L1 tube lamp ensuring that the light bulb becomes part of the fixture. With their design background tp24 has developed the L1 light bulbs specifically for their attractiveness and small scale whilst giving optimum performance.
The Kinshasa range includes 3 and 5 arm pendant fittings satin black finish.
All tp24 light fittings are dedicated low energy meaning that you can only use L1 low energy compact fluorescent lamps ensuring energy saving forever.
A compact fluorescent lamp is a small fluorescent light bulb which is usually referred to as a CFL or energy saving light bulb. They use less energy than a traditional (or incandescent) light bulb because they are more efficient at changing electricity into light and they have a longer lifespan.
L1 light bulbs are 80% energy saving and last 8 times longer than a regular light bulb - approximately 8,000 hours - saving power consumption, running costs and reducing waste. For example, if your existing lighting fixture energy consumption is usually 100 watts changing to a similar tp24 spot lighting fixture you will only use 20 watts.
You are guaranteed to save money on your energy bills for the lifetime of your light fitting as tp24 fittings will not accept regular incandescent bulbs, which, at 5 times more expensive to run and soon to be phased out, is a real bonus. Being dedicated means that these fittings are all compliant with Part L of the current building regulations.
Compact fluorescent lamps are not currently dimmable. There is new technology being developed which will allow the light bulbs to be dimmed but this is still a little way off. Some of our larger, statement ceiling fittings incorporate switching that allows sections to be switched off. This gives full energy saving, variable mood settings and balanced lighting level reduction.
This fitting incorporates our unique HSR quick fit system making it simpler than ever before to fit. There is no need to take down the original ceiling rose plate so you simply wire straight into it and fix your light around it (full instructions included).
Our fittings can be recycled into glass and metal. We do not use any glue etc ensuring the large majority of the components are recoverable with the only exceptions being the lamp holders and the insulation on the wire. Our packaging is all recyclable.
